SchlafTeam makes high-quality solid wood furniture for the bedroom – with a consistent focus on natural materials, sustainability and craftsmanship. Only pure, natural raw materials are used, selected to strict quality guidelines and sourced in an environmentally responsible way.

Challenge & solution

Fresh design, Shopify and Business Central

Moving from Magento 2 to Shopify, the existing SchlafTeam online shop was rebuilt from the ground up – technically and visually. The goal was a fresh, modern redesign that conveys the brand’s core values – natural materials, sustainability and craftsmanship – in a contemporary way.

The new shop uses a deliberately reduced, harmonious colour scheme in sage tones. They underline the calm, nature-inspired brand world and embody the bedroom as a place to unwind. Soft transitions, subtle motion and a fluid layout present the solid wood products with a clear focus on imagery and material quality.

A central part of the technical delivery was the full integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Shopify becomes a pure frontend: all business processes – from accounting to order fulfilment – run centrally through Business Central. Our interface includes managing multiple images per item, metafields for cross-selling and course descriptions, and intelligent pricing for overlength surcharges.

Via the Business Central interface, all product and category data from the existing Magento 2 shop could be exported – including attributes, variants, URL slugs and product images. Structured in BC and imported into Shopify seamlessly: including automatic URL redirects and adopted article categories. The result: a smooth migration without data loss.

The relaunch was accompanied by Google Ads optimisation from our SEA specialist Doreen, who continues to drive data-based performance.

Shopify as the frontend, Business Central as the system of record – and a brand presence as premium as the solid wood products themselves.
