Project
Shopify shop with Business Central integration

GoodyGuard protects pallet goods in transit – a new development focused on safety and efficiency. For market launch they needed more than a shop: a complete brand presence.

We developed the corporate identity including the logo and, in parallel, a custom Shopify shop with Business Central integration – within a few weeks.

Challenge & solution

Shop, ERP and brand – delivered as one

To keep the new GoodyGuard online shop efficient from day one, we integrated a seamless interface to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

All product data – including complex tiered prices, attributes, product images and videos – can be managed directly in the ERP. Orders, customer data and stock levels converge in Business Central. Direct access to Shopify for master data is no longer needed: that avoids duplicate entry, reduces errors and saves time.

Notable features include voucher discounts, a fully bilingual shop with a lead form (customer data imported into Business Central), custom freight shipping rules by linear metres and postcode areas, tiered prices and special conditions for product samples.

Shopify as the frontend, Business Central as the system of record – including corporate identity for market launch.

Business Central integration

Connecting the Shopify shop to Business Central delivers among other things:

  • Central data management: Prices, stock levels and images are maintained in the ERP.
  • Automated order processing: Orders are transferred and processed automatically.
  • Synchronised inventory: Stock is aligned – overselling and overstocking are avoided.
  • Central customer data: Customer records and order history in one place.
  • Fewer errors, more speed: Automated processes replace duplicate manual entry.
  • Scalability: The integration supports growth without parallel manual maintenance.

For GoodyGuard as a new product whose growth is still hard to forecast, the integration improves efficiency, transparency and room to scale.

Corporate identity

For GoodyGuard we developed not only the online shop, but the full corporate identity including the logo from scratch.

GoodyGuard was first presented at FACHPACK 2024 in Nuremberg. For the trade fair we equipped the exhibitor team with custom business cards, graphics and brochures – so the product could be introduced clearly to a specialist audience.
