From 19 June 2026, the EU consumer protection rules require a digital withdrawal button for many distance-selling contracts with a right of withdrawal. Our Magento 2 module supports the technical implementation: two-step, documented and adaptable to your theme – available on request.
Supports the technical implementation of the EU withdrawal requirement from 19 June 2026 for distance selling with withdrawal rights (no legal guarantee).
Place the button where it fits in the shop – the footer is recommended.
Adaptable to Luma, Hyvä and custom themes.
Withdrawal is started and then confirmed – as the requirement intends.
Every withdrawal stays traceable for support and internal processes.
Optional transfer of withdrawal data to your ERP.
Matching via order number and billing postcode.
The customer chooses the item to withdraw and the return reason.
The second step required by law completes the process.
You see incoming withdrawals in the Magento backend, including status.
For many distance-selling contracts with a right of withdrawal, the new EU consumer protection rules require a clearly visible digital withdrawal button in the shop from 19 June 2026. Whether the requirement applies to your model depends on the concrete case – we provide the technology, not legal advice.
Where the new requirement applies, an email or printed-form detour is usually no longer enough. A direct digital withdrawal in the shop is then the intended path.
Compatible with the standard Luma theme and free Hyvä; we review custom themes in the project.
The Magento withdrawal module is available on request – not as a public marketplace download. Get in touch and we will clarify version, theme and setup.
Yes – the sister module in the Shopware Store. See Withdrawal module for Shopware 6.
